Appointments & telehealth
Appointments, Telehealth & Who Can Be Seen
One place for the practical answers: who the practice sees, how visits work, and where you need to be for a video appointment.

Who can be seen
- Adults seeking evaluation or ongoing treatment for ADHD
- Patients in New York and New Jersey
- New patients are currently welcome
Your first appointment
Whether your first appointment is in person or by secure video is confirmed when you schedule. Call (212) 265-4310.
The first appointment is a full adult ADHD evaluation. Please see new patient information for what to have ready.
Follow-up visits by telehealth
Ongoing care, including medication follow-up, is provided through secure, private video visits. They work much like an office visit: you talk with Dr. Shershow face to face, from home or a private space at work.
For a video visit you will need:
- A private, quiet place where you will not be overheard
- A phone, tablet or computer with a camera, microphone and a reliable internet connection
- Your current medication list, and any questions written down
Where you need to be during a video visit
Telehealth rules are based on where you are physically located at the time of the appointment, not where you live. Please be in New York or New Jersey during every video visit. If you will be traveling or out of state, tell the office before your appointment so it can be rescheduled if needed.
